Captain Jellie is a Zambian music artist who uses his music to reflect on life, culture, and the changes taking place in society. His song “Mwambo”, produced by Sounds Track, takes listeners on a reflective journey into where we come from and how life has changed over the years.

In Mwambo, Captain Jellie compares the past with today's way of living, remembering a time when people valued traditional customs, unity, respect, and what he describes as a better way of life. The song highlights how many of these values have gradually been lost in modern society, captured by the message “mwambo tinataya” — meaning we have lost our traditions/customs.

Through its message, Captain Jellie encourages listeners to reflect on the past, appreciate their roots, and consider the importance of preserving meaningful cultural values in today's changing world.
